Hi all: Busy here in New Hampshire: Haven’t had much time to write. Our visit to South Carolina was great but never enough Thyme. The 10 days flew by. our first day was filled with was my cousin Jack and Madde’s Wedding, in Georgetown. Then back to the Charleston area and we were off to Kiwah Island for a few days. It was lovely out there. T’s son Thomas has a cottage he has just renovated and it has turned out lovely. We helped get the place settled as he was away and returning home that week. Boxes everywhere were taken out of the pod he stored his belongings in while the construction was going on. So we got busy and moved those out of the living room and made the place look more liveable. In our setteling discovered he had taken his coffee pot to St Kits with him. Sooooooooooo out to breakfast every morning to get our morning Coffee and some breakfast. Kiwah is just lovely. We were off to the beach in the afternoons for some fun in the sun and enjoyed the warmth of the Waters there at Kiwah. I know our water ever gets that warm up the coast here in NH. Oh it was so nice not to have our feet going numb from icy cold waters we seem to have here in NH.
We left Kiwah and headed back to Mt Pleasant on Tuesday evening.
We went to the Market in Charleston and had a wonderful carriage ride through the city on our tour, A birthday gift from Cora and T. We had never done the carriage tour before

The night we arrived in Charleston.

This was an enjoyable Morning chatting and having our coffee.

afternoon at the Beach: We went out and there were these beach chairs set up and no body was using them so we made use of the chairs. I think they were for guest renting houses. It sure was easier than carting our chairs all that way to the beach.

I know Our Mothers are looking down and smiling knowing we were once again together and haveing a good time together. As children we were seperated by many miles two of us living in Northern Vermont and the cousins living in South Carolina. Our Fathers both owing their own Business’ it was most difficult to be able to get together with such a distance between us. But now we are all grown our children all on their own we have taken the liberty to visit one another and make up for the lost years we couldn’t be together. And How sweet it is.

It was a lovely evening and we got a photo of the Cooper River Bridge in the distance. At the time the photo was taken the old bridge still stood in the background.

Time for May Flowers

The flowering trees are all in bloom and so are my allergies ! The trees in full bloom are so pretty. After this weekend of rain, I hope it doesn’t make all of the petals fall. Our leaves have started to pop out but with this cold spell and no sunshine they are not doing much, One warm sunny day and I am sure we’ll see some growth.
Planning our trip to South Carolina
My sister and I are planning another trip south for 10 days. With our dreary weather it will be nice to get some warmer weather and sunshine ! Looking forward to seeing all of our cousins. We will also be attending a wedding while we are there ! This is the second wedding we have been to the Carolina’s for. It’s nice to get together with the cousins.

Today was a beautiful day here in New Hampshire. Tomorrow promises to be even better.
It’s time to dig the sandles out of my closet and give myself a pedicure. I have been purging the closet and taken 3 huge bags to the Salvation Army this week already. HURRAH! Glad that job is underway and got a lot done

It has been an exhausting Month. My Sister-in-law has not been doing so well the past couple of weeks, she has ALS. This morning at 11 AM she passed away. It is a blessing now she is pain free and in a peaceful place.
I tried to get busy and start a little quilt, I have been looking over in a quilting book I came across the other day. I thought I needed to get my thoughts and mind on a more positive note. I did manage to get started tonight until I couldn’t find my ruler to cut my 1/4 inch seams with. I am doing a paper pieced quilt. I found one with Cat that I liked. After my pet Miss Kitty died the week of Christmas I have really missed her and decided to make a quilt in her honor. So I have picked my materials out from my stash and had to purchase a few colors I wanted to use. I will sleep on the ruler and maybe my mind will be refreshed in the morning and I will be able to find it.

This is a pillow I embroidered, I just loved the two hearts. It is made up of French knots, by the time I got done I could do French Knots in my sleep I think.
There are also little boulion flowres througout the hears. It was a lot of fun and I have made a few for gifts for those that expressed that they liked mine.
